Grade 16 Titanium Bar

Grade 16 titanium bar has the advantages of lightweight, corrosion resistant ,and high strength.XRUN offers a wide range of bar sizes across different grades. Grade 16 contains 0.04 to 0.08% palladium with min 345 Mpa.

The production process

pressing the electrode after titanium sponge and intermediate alloy are mixed. Then using vacuum plasma welding box to weld the electrode to make sure there is no inclusion and external pollution risk. After that, carrying out two times VAR melting to obtain high clean and uniform ingot. Then the 5000T High-speed forging equipment is used for several times forging process with large deformation to effectively break the grain. Finally, Grade 16 titanium bar is obtained by rolling or extrusion.

Titanium and titanium alloy applications

The demand structure of titanium products is obviously different in different regions. In North America and the European Union, especially the United States, which have developed aerospace and defense industries, about 50% of the titanium products demand comes from the aerospace and defense industries. In Japan, industrial titanium from industries such as chemicals dominates demand. Aerospace accounts for only 2% to 3% of Japan's titanium demand, according to the Japan Titanium Association. Much like in Japan, the bulk of titanium demand in China comes from the chemical and energy sectors, with aerospace accounting for only 10 per cent. While China has become one of the world's largest producers and consumers of the metal, much of its production has been limited to lower-grade titanium, used in bicycle racks, golf clubs or anti-corrosion pipes used in the chemical industry. However, in recent years, the amount of titanium used in aerospace has increased significantly in Asia, indicating that the titanium market has a bright future.

Titanium palladium alloy is mainly used in sulfide environment, hydrofluoric acid environment, phosphoric acid medium. The presence of palladium is beneficial to improve the corrosion of materials to hydrogen sulfide, hydrofluoric acid, perchloric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid and so on. Can be used in pipelines, heat exchangers, chemical treatment equipment, etc.

The tolerance will be tested according to standard's required or specific requirement by customer.
