Product Introduction
Grade 21 titanium bar has the advantages of corrosion resistant ,high strength,and lightweight .XRUN offers a great range of bar sizes across different grades. Grade 21 includes 15% molybdenum, 3% aluminum, 2.7% niobium and 0.25% silicon. With the increase of oxygen content, the strength increases and the plasticity decreases. The tensile strength of the alloy increases by about 22Mpa for every 0.01% increase in the average oxygen content.

The flow of production
Pressing the electrode after titanium sponge and intermediate alloy are mixed. Next step is using vacuum plasma welding box to weld the electrode to guarantee there is no inclusion and external pollution risk. Then, carrying out three times VAR melting to get high clean and uniform ingot. The 5000T High-speed forging equipment is used for several times forging process with large deformation to effectively break the grain. Finally, Grade 21 titanium bar is finished by rolling or extrusion.

All Grade 21 titanium bars are 100% inspected with advanced producting technique to get the stable quality and competitive price.The tolerance will be tested according to standard's required or specific requirement by customer. Ultrasonic test is to be done with AMS 2631 & AMS STD-2154.
Applications
GR21 is the titanium alloy (Ti-15Mo-2.7NB-3A1-0.25Si) which first developed by American Timet company in the late 1980s. The alloy is a β type titanium alloy, which can be used to fabricate aircraft structural parts or engine structural parts, honeycomb, fasteners and hydraulic pipes with temperature requirements, and also can be used as matrix castings of metal matrix composite materials. It has filled the blank of high strength shear alloy with oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, which has attracted extensive attention in aerospace and other industrial fields. GR21 is an ideal material for aviation structure. Using this material instead of structural steel to manufacture aircraft fuselage could achieve weight greatly reducing. Ultra-high strength titanium alloys are titanium alloys whose tensile strength exceeds 1400MPa at room temperature. GR21 is an ultra-strong titanium alloy. It is an ideal material for aviation structure. GR21 is used for aviation structural parts, instead of steel, but the overall weight is reduced by 15%-20%. Greatly improving the efficiency of the aircraft.
