The features of Ti-6AL-4V ELI Titanium Bar
Ti-6Al-4V ELI titanium alloy is an ultra-low clearance variant of Ti-6Al-4V, and its combination of good bio-compatibility, low weight, durability and corrosion resistance makes it an ideal metal for medical devices and implants. Interstitial elements such as iron and oxygen are strictly controlled during melting to improve the ductility and fracture toughness of the alloy. It retains good toughness even at temperatures as low as -253℃. These properties, along with low elastic modulus and good fatigue strength, make them widely used in a wide range of applications, including: medical devices, surgical implants, aerospace components, structural components, cryogenic applications, offshore equipment,the plates and blades of engine fans and compressors, as well as various load-bearing beams, frames, joints and fasteners in aircraft structures.

Production process
After mixing the titanium sponge and intermediate alloy, the next step is pressing the electrode. Then vacuum plasma welding box is used to weld the electrode to ensure there is no inclusion and external pollution risk. Next, carrying out three times VAR melting to achieve high clean and uniform ingot. Several times forging process are be done by 5000T High-speed forging equipment to make sure the large deformation to effectively break the grain. Finally, Ti-6Al-4V ELI titanium bar is finished by rolling or extrusion.
