CP-70 titanium forging has moderate strength, good plasticity and is easy to process forming and welding, cutting performance is also very good.Compared with industrial pure titanium,CP-70 titanium is mainly used in the aerospace field, where components with high corrosion resistance and moderate strength up to 400℃ and oxidation resistance up to 600℃.When titanium is heated in an air medium at normal service temperatures, an extremely thin, dense and stable oxide film is formed. It has a protective effect, can prevent the internal diffusion of oxidized metal further oxidation; Therefore, titanium is stable in air below 500℃.XRUN offers a wide range of titanium forging sizes across different grades.CP-70 titanium is similar to Grade 4 titanium, in which oxygen content is up to 0.4%, iron content is up to 0.5%, tensile strength is greater than 552MPa, yield strength is greater than 483MPa.

The manufacturing process is:

first,high quality titanium sponge is selected for pressing electrode. Then using vacuum plasma welding box to weld the electrode to ensure there is no inclusion and external pollution risk. The CP-70 titanium ingot was fabricated by two times VAR melting . The CP-70 titanium fogings are forged several times by 5000T High-speed forging equipment within the temperature range 750-900℃. Subsequently, the CP-70 titanium foging was annealed at 649-802℃. Stress relief annealing should be carried out on The CP-70 titanium fogings. Stress relief annealing temperature can not be too high or too low, because

the temperature is too high to cause grain coarsening and affect the mechanical properties, the temperature is too low to make the stress can not be eliminated.Therefore, the stress removal annealing temperature is generally selected below the recrystallization temperature. For CP-70 titanium fogings, the stress relief annealing temperature is 500-600℃. The heating time should be determined according to the thickness of the workpiece and the holding time. The grain size of CP-70 titanium fogings shall be 5 or finer.An oxygen-rich layer of CP-70 titanium foging is not greater than 0.025mm in depth.

Application:

It have been used typically for parts requiring high corrosion resistance and moderate strenrth up to 204℃, and oxidation resistance up to 316℃, but usage is not limited to such applications.
