Product Introduction
Titanium Grade 11 Plate is very similar to Gr1 except that a small amount of palladium is added to enhance corrosion resistance and make it an alloy. This corrosion resistance can be used to prevent crevice corrosion and reduce acid in chloride environments. Other useful properties include optimal ductility, cold formability, useful strength, impact toughness, and excellent weldability.Titanium Grade 11 Plate is mainly used for occasions containing hydrogen sulfide, hydrofluoric acid, perchloric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid and other corrosive media. Gr11 reduces iron and oxygen content on the basis of Gr7, making the ductility of the material better, which is conducive to the pressing of heat exchanger plates and the production of plates.

The production process is:
sponge titanium and palladium mixed, pressed electrode. The electrodes are then welded using a vacuum plasma welding chamber to ensure no risk of inclusion and external contamination. Titanium ingot was obtained by secondary or tertiary VAR melting. After that, 5000T high speed forging equipment was used for many large deformation forging processes to effectively break the grains. Finally,titanium Grade 11 plates were obtained by rolling, annealing, shot peening and pickling.

Corrosion resistance characteristics of titanium:
Titanium is a metal with strong passivation tendency, in the air and oxidation or neutral aqueous solution can quickly generate a layer of stable oxidation protective film, even if the film is damaged for some reasons, it can quickly recover automatically. Therefore, titanium has excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing and neutral media.
Due to the great passivation property of titanium, in many cases when in contact with dissimilar metals, does not accelerate the corrosion, but may accelerate the corrosion of dissimilar metals. For example, in low concentrations of non-oxidizing acids, if Pb, Sn, Cu or Monel alloys are contacted with titanium to form galvanic couples, the corrosion of these materials is accelerated, while titanium is not affected. In hydrochloric acid, when titanium and low carbon steel contact, due to the surface of titanium generated new hydrogen, destroy the titanium oxide film, not only cause hydrogen embrittlement of titanium, but also accelerate the corrosion of titanium, which may be due to the high activity of titanium to hydrogen.
The iron content in titanium has an impact on the corrosion resistance of some media. In addition to the reason for the increase of iron in the raw material, it is often contaminated by iron infiltration into the weld pass during welding, so that the local iron content in the weld pass is increased, and the corrosion has an uneven nature. When iron parts are used to support titanium equipment, iron contamination on the iron-titanium contact surface is almost inevitably accelerated in the area of iron contamination, especially in the presence of hydrogen. When the titanium oxide film on the contaminated surface is mechanically damaged, hydrogen will penetrate into the metal, and according to the temperature, pressure and other conditions, hydrogen will diffuse accordingly, which makes titanium produce different degrees of hydrogen embritterization. Therefore, titanium used in medium temperature and pressure and hydrogen containing systems should avoid surface iron contamination.
