Although the strength is lower than Gr5, but it has excellent cold working performance, so it is widely used.In addition, it is insensitive to the notch and has a good match with the strength and stiffness of the composite material, which can further achieve a good weight reduction effect. Therefore, Gr9 titanium alloy can be used to manufacture working temperature up to 315 ℃, and has a certain strength and oxidation resistance requirements of the parts

Application area:

Gr9 is used for hydraulic piping system, which can not only meet the requirements of high strength, but also meet the needs of lightweight components in aerospace and other fields, so it has been paid attention to and widely used in the aviation field for a long time. In the middle of the 20th century, Gr9 titanium alloy was developed in the United States for the hydraulic system of aircraft pipeline. The pipe made of Gr9 alloy has been widely used in the hydraulic and fuel pipeline system of F-14A, F-15, B-1 and Boeing 747, 757, 767 and other aircraft. Major airlines around the world, such as Boeing, General Motors, McDonnell Douglas, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, Airbus, etc., also use Gr9 titanium alloy in large quantities on their military aircraft and commercial passenger aircraft and other transportation vehicles. At present, Gr9 titanium alloy has been widely used in military engineering fittings (including helicopters) in many western countries, and has become the preferred material for military and civil aircraft piping systems

Heat treatment system of Grade 9 Titanium Plate:

The heating temperature shall be within the range of 650-790°C, the pressure in the furnace shall not be higher than 0.09Pa, and the heat preservation shall be 30-120min.

Gr9 titanium alloy is widely used as a kind of titanium alloy, the nature of this titanium alloy belongs to low alloying, its essence is close to α titanium alloy, compared with other types of titanium alloy, the first has a good room temperature; Secondly, excellent performance, especially high temperature mechanical properties, can withstand extremely high temperature, in addition, its corrosion resistance is also more outstanding; Finally, Gr9 titanium alloy can not only be cold processing, but also be hot processing, no matter which processing method is conducive to welding

Grade9 Heat treatment system:

1) annealing

The annealing of the plate is carried out in the vacuum furnace, the absolute pressure in the furnace should not be higher than 0.09Pa, the heating temperature is in the scale of 650-790℃, the shaking scale of the furnace temperature is ±15℃, holding the heat for 30-120min, and the furnace is cold

2) Stress relief annealing

370-600℃, 15-240min, air cooled or furnace cooled
