The features of ASTM F136 titanium sheet
ASTM F136 titanium sheet is an ultra-low clearance variant of Ti-6Al-4V, and its combination of good bio-compatibility, low weight, durability and corrosion resistance makes it an ideal metal for medical devices and implants. Interstitial elements such as iron and oxygen are strictly controlled during melting to improve the ductility and fracture toughness of the alloy. It retains good toughness even at temperatures as low as -253℃. These properties, along with low elastic modulus and good fatigue strength, make them widely used in a wide range of applications, including: medical devices, surgical implants, aerospace components, structural components, cryogenic applications, offshore equipment,the plates and blades of engine fans and compressors, as well as various load-bearing beams, frames, joints and fasteners in aircraft structures.
