Product Introduction
Titanium Beta 21S sheet possess the advantages of lightweight, high strength, and corrosion resistant .XRUN provides a great range of bar sizes across different grades. Grade 21 alloy contains 15% molybdenum, 3% aluminum, 2.7% niobium and 0.25% silicon.
The characteristics of Titanium Beta 21S sheet
Titanium and titanium alloys not only have high melting point, no magnetism, low coefficient of thermal expansion, high specific strength (the ratio of material strength to density) and specific stiffness (the ratio of material elastic modulus to density) of comprehensive mechanical properties, but also have good corrosion resistance, biological erosion resistance and many other excellent characteristics.
Applications
1. Chemical industry
Because titanium alloy has good corrosion resistance, at this stage has become an irreplaceable ideal structural metal material in the chemical industry, from the initial soda ash and caustic soda industry, to the development of chemical fertilizer, organic synthesis, dye, salt industry, desalination, etc., the chemical industry with titanium accounts for about 50% of all titanium. According to the data, in 2020, the 32 main production enterprises of titanium products in the chemical industry sales reached 47513 tons, accounting for 50.8% of the sales of titanium products.
2. Ship industry
Titanium and titanium alloys are widely used in ship structure parts, pressure hull of deep-sea survey ship and submarine, pipes, valves, rudder, shaft bracket and other ship components. The use of titanium alloys on ships can effectively improve ship tolerance, reliability and effectiveness, especially in pipes, pumps, valves, heat exchangers and other equipment that can be in service for more than 40 years.
