Grade 12 titanium forging contains 0.3%Mo and 0.8%Ni, which not only improves the strength of the alloy, but also has good crack corrosion resistance to high temperature, low PH value chloride or weak reducing acid.Its corrosion resistance is better than pure titanium and close to Grade 7 titanium alloy. Features:

Grade 12 titanium forging is a kind of titanium alloy resistant to slot corrosion. The tensile strength of the alloy at 300℃ is twice as high as that of pure titanium, and the corrosion resistance of reducing medium is significantly improved. Crevice corrosion does not occur in chlorides at 150-200℃. The amount of iron in Grade 12 titanium alloy has an impact on the corrosion resistance of some media, the reason for the increase of iron in addition to the raw material, is often welding contaminated iron into the weld, the weld passage in the local iron content increased, then corrosion has uneven properties. When iron parts are used to support titanium equipment, iron contamination on the iron-titanium contact surface is almost inevitably accelerated in the area of iron contamination, especially in the presence of hydrogen. When the titanium oxide film on the contaminated surface is mechanically damaged, hydrogen will penetrate into the metal, and according to the temperature, pressure and other conditions, hydrogen will diffuse accordingly, which makes titanium produce different degrees of hydrogen embritterization. Therefore, Grade 12 titanium used in medium temperature and pressure and hydrogen containing systems should avoid surface iron contamination. In general, titanium will not occur pitting corrosion. Titanium is also resistant to corrosion fatigue. Titanium has good crevice corrosion resistance, especially Grade 12 titanium alloy, which is widely used as sealing surface material of container equipment to solve the problem of crevice corrosion of sealing surface of equipment.

Main materials:

The main raw materials used to prepare Grade 12 titanium alloy are sponge titanium and intermediate alloy. After mixing the titanium sponge and intermediate alloy, the electrode is pressed. Then using vacuum plasma welding box to weld the electrode to ensure there is no inclusion and external pollution risk. The Grade 12 titanium ingot was fabricated by two times VAR melting . Titanium Grade 12 forging is obtained by multiple forging processes using 5000T High-speed forging equipment.

It has good process plasticity and welding performance, which has been widely used in petrochemical industry. Due to its excellent corrosion resistance, It is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, salt making, pharmaceutical, metallurgy, electronics, Marine and other related fields.
