What is Ti15333 Titanium Sheet

Ti15333 alloy is a kind of metastable β-type titanium alloy. Its nominal composition is Ti-15V-3O-3Sn-3Al, which contains β-stable element V, eutectic β-stable element Cr, neutral element Sn and α-stable element AI. The alloy has excellent cold rolling and cold forming properties, and the cold rolling deformation can reach more than 90%. It can form moderately complex sheet metal parts at room temperature, and can also be super molded at 700℃ or above, and cold heading rivets and bolts. The alloy can also reach the strength of more than 1080MPa by aging treatment, and has excellent welding properties. Ti15333 alloy is mainly used to manufacture various sheet metal components and fasteners, which can meet the requirements of high structural benefits, high production efficiency and low manufacturing cost. The working temperature of solution treatment state is below 200℃, and the working temperature of solution aging state can reach 290℃. The semi-finished products of the alloy mainly include sheet, strip and rod (wire), and can also produce pipe.

Ingots for the manufacture of sheet and rod (wire) shall be melted more than twice in a vacuum consumable arc furnace. 0-1 grade titanium sponge with oxygen mass fraction less than 0.07%, high quality 85V-15AI intermediate alloy with oxygen mass fraction less than 0.25%, 80Sn-20Ti intermediate alloy and chromium metal with low oxygen mass fraction were selected.
Special attention should be paid to the distribution of electrode block to ensure the distribution uniformity of various alloying elements. The consumable electrode is welded by argon plasma welding. It is strictly prohibited to use argon tungsten arc welding.
The absolute pressure of the first melting of Ti15333 alloy should not be higher than 1.3Pa. The final remelting can be carried out in vacuum or argon atmosphere.

Ti15333 special requirements

(1) Ti15333 alloy of high strength metal, high sensitivity to notch and other surface defects, should be paid attention to in the design of parts. For the parts bearing repeated loads, the edges of the parts in the tension zone should be polished smooth, and the surface scratches should not exceed the provisions of the material technical standards.
(2) Ti15333 alloy is suitable for cold forming sheet metal parts with medium degree of complexity. The transition radius from one section of the part to another section, the corner of the part and the bending radius should be as large as possible when the structure allows, and the flanging height, the bending height and the depression depth should be as small as possible. It is not suitable to design skin tensile parts.
(3) Like all β alloys, compared with α and α-β titanium alloys, the alloy has a greater affinity for hydrogen and is easier to increase hydrogen, so Ti15333 alloy is not allowed to be chemical milling.
(4) Ti15333 alloy can be directly aging treatment after cold forming, generally should be carried out in vacuum or under the protection of inert gas, and in order to reduce the deformation of parts, should be used for the appropriate fixture constraints aging.
